After years in advertising creating ads for clients like Apple, Microsoft, BMW, Honda, and many, many others, the urge to write something longer than 30 seconds became unbearable so I went back to school. I now have my MFA in screenwriting and fiction.

I've written six TV pilots and ten feature films. Two have been optioned. I've placed in the Nicholl Fellowships, Page International, American Zoetrope, Slamdance, Blue Cat and more. My feature film, The Feminist and the Foodie was recently short-listed in the Half the World Global Literati Award.

Lately, I've been writing personal essays for Purple Clover. You can find them here. And my short, short story Do Buddhist Dogs Have Fleas? appears in the 2015 Harvard Books short story anthology, Microchondria II.

When I'm not writing I'm making CBD dog biscuits and edibles. My husband and I own Mackenzie Medicinals, purveyors of fine cannabis and herbal medicines. We supply medical marijuana dispensaries in the Los Angeles area. Dogs tell me they love my heartshape, organic, gluten-free peanut butter pumpkin CBD treats. You laugh. But I speak dog.
